The Bachelor of Science in Computing Programme has successfully achieved higher education academic accreditation granted by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) in 2011, 2016, and 2020. Qualified graduate of the Programme partially fulfils the Chartered Engineer (CEng) educational requirement internationally.

 

There are 3 specializations. Student can choose one of the following specializations:

1. Business Intelligence

Students will be able to gain an in-depth knowledge of technologies related to data analysis and management of information to support business processes in enterprises. This specialization includes “Data Driven Business Management”, “Analytical Data Design and Applications”, “Data Science and Business Analytics”, “Enterprise System and Application Development”, and “Strategic Planning for Information Systems”.

 

2. Gaming Technology

Gaming Technology Students will be able to acquire the general and advanced knowledge of current technologies and operating environment for the development of the gaming and tourism industry. This specialization includes “Principles of Gaming Technology”, “Gaming Systems and Technical Standards”, “Data Science and Business Analytics”, “Selected Topics in Smart Tourism”, and “Computer Game Design and Development”.

 

3. Computer Education

Computer Education Students will be able to acquire general and practical knowledge of computer education and its practicing environment in secondary education. Graduates who have completed this specialization will receive the secondary teacher qualification, recognized by the Macao SAR Education and Youth Development Bureau. This specialization includes “Introduction to Education”, “Educational Psychology and Counselling”, “Curriculum and Teaching Methods (IT in Secondary Education)”, “Teaching Practice I”, and “Teaching Practice II”.
